Welcome to my wellness blog! If you’ve been following along, you might have noticed it’s been a few weeks since my last post. It’s not because I didn’t want to write or lacked ideas—I’ve had plenty—but, as we all know, life has a way of keeping us busy. Today, though, I’m diving into a hot topic in the skincare world: the ever-trending HydraFacial. Have you tried one? Do you want to? I’m guessing your answer to at least one of those questions is a hell yes!

And honestly, I get it. The marketing for HydraFacial is amazing because the treatment truly lives up to the hype. I’m not just saying that as a follower of trends—I’ve had my fair share of HydraFacials and, more importantly, I’m a HydraFacial-trained therapist. I perform this treatment regularly, and I see the incredible results it delivers for my clients.

Now, a quick note for anyone stumbling across this blog or my Instagram and hoping to book in with me: I currently work as a private spa therapist. While I absolutely love the luxury of my work, it also inspired me to start this blog and social media page. Why? Because in the private spa world, my focus is on providing bespoke, high-end treatments for a very select group of clients. It’s a dream career, with no back-to-back schedules or time constraints, allowing me to go above and beyond to create deeply personalised experiences.

For example, when I perform a HydraFacial, it’s never just about the face. I believe in treating the whole person. While the LED light is working its magic, I might be giving a relaxing body massage. The cleanse is slow and intentional, designed to calm the nervous system. Every detail is about delivering care and wellness, not just ticking off a procedure. And while I wouldn’t trade this luxury environment for anything, I do miss the connection with the everyday wellness and the beauty community—the “normal” people who make this industry so special.

That’s why I created this space. To share my knowledge, insights, and personal journey with you. My high-net-worth clients may never see this, but you’re here, and that’s what matters to me.

Now, enough about me—let’s get into what this post is really about: the HydraFacial and why it’s worth all the buzz.

This is my skin after one treatment! so dewy and hydrated

As you read this post, please keep in mind that everything I share comes from my personal experience as a professional therapist, as well as what I’ve observed in my career and with my own skin. If you already see a trusted clinic or therapist, I highly recommend consulting them for a thorough skin analysis and personalised advice.

While HydraFacial is a highly customisable treatment suitable for all skin types—including sensitive skin—it may not be the best option for you right now, depending on where you are in your skin journey. Your therapist can guide you on what’s most beneficial for your unique skin needs. Always trust their expertise and listen to what your skin is telling you.

What Is HydraFacial?

The HydraFacial is a professional, non-invasive skin treatment that delivers instant results with little to no side effects. Using advanced hydradermabrasion techniques and patented Vortex-Fusion Technology, it deeply cleanses, exfoliates, and hydrates the skin in one seamless process. Unlike traditional facials, this treatment gently removes impurities while simultaneously infusing the skin with nourishing serums, leaving it smooth, radiant, and deeply hydrated.

What are the benefits of HydraFacial?

• Deep Cleansing & Exfoliation: Painlessly removes dirt, blackheads, and dead skin cells.

• Advanced Hydration: Infuses the skin with customisable serums tailored to specific skin concerns.

• Improved Skin Texture & Tone: Smooths the skin’s surface and enhances natural glow.

• Non-Irritating & Gentle: Minimal downtime, making it suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin.

• Targeted Skin Concerns: Helps address fine lines, dullness, congestion, and uneven skin tone.

Who is HydraFacial for?

HydraFacial is perfect for anyone looking to improve their overall skin health while addressing specific concerns such as dehydration, acne, congestion, or early signs of ageing. It is suitable for all skin types and ages and genders, offering a versatile and results-driven option for anyone seeking a fresh, glowing complexion.

Why Choose the Real HydraFacial?

It’s essential to ensure you’re receiving the authentic HydraFacial treatment. While there are imitations on the market, only the original HydraFacial device guarantees the patented technology, high-quality serums, and proven results. Always verify that your therapist uses the genuine HydraFacial system.

What is the General Cost for Treatments?

Investing in your skin doesn’t have to feel like a guessing game. Here’s a clear breakdown of HydraFacial treatments and their costs based on UK and Australian pricing.

HydraFacials are a premium skin treatment with impressive results, but pricing can vary depending on the clinic’s experience, environment, machine quality, and service. It’s worth noting that HydraFacial machines can cost between £30,000-£45,000, so clinics price treatments to reflect their investment. Ultimately, you get what you pay for with this advanced technology.

There are three main types of HydraFacials, each offering a different level of treatment:

1. Signature HydraFacial

• Steps: Cleanse + Peel, Extract, Fuse & Protect.

• Best for: Instant glow—perfect for party prep, pre-wedding radiance, or regular maintenance (recommended every 2–4 weeks).

• Duration: 45–60 minutes.

• Cost: £150–£180 (UK) | $220–$250 (AUS).

2. Deluxe HydraFacial

This is my personal go-to treatment!

• What’s Included: All the steps of the Signature HydraFacial plus a customised booster (e.g., JLO Glow or Circadia Protec Plus) and LED light therapy for deeper results.

• Best for: Targeted concerns like hydration, anti-aging, or skin tone improvement.

• Duration: 60 minutes.

• Cost: £200–£215 (UK).

3. Platinum HydraFacial

The ultimate luxury treatment.

• What’s Included: Everything in the Deluxe HydraFacial plus 15 minutes of lymphatic drainage at the start to detoxify and de-puff the face.

• Best for: A full, rejuvenating experience with added detox and glow benefits.

• Duration: 90 minutes.

• Cost: £250–£280 (UK).

Add-Ons: Boost Your Results

HydraFacial offers customisable add-ons to target specific concerns:

Lip Perk: Plump and smooth lips. £40-60

• Eye Perk: Brighten and refresh the eye area. £40-60

• LED Light Therapy: Stimulates collagen and calms inflammation. £30-50

• Customised Boosters: Tailored serums to target unique skin needs. £40-60

These add-ons slightly increase the cost, but they deliver noticeable, targeted results. - for example if you get the Luxury Platinum Hydrafacial which includes Lymphatic drainage, LED and a Booster and you add on the Lip and Eye perk your looking at £330-400 for one treatment! but I would Start trying the Signature HydraFacial—£150 per session. Commit to 3 months for visible results without overcommitting your wallet.

Looking back at the cost section, if you are a new Hydra facial customer and you just want to try it I would definantly op to get the Signature treatment once a month try 3 treatments which will cost you about £450 - £150 each month which can be more affordable that paying £400 up front and not knowing what your in for.

Whether you’re looking for a quick glow or a luxury experience, HydraFacial has options to suit your needs. Remember, investing in high-quality treatments will always pay off in your skin’s long-term health and radiance.

When should I get a HydraFacial?

We know by now it is for everyone! it is even safe for pregnant women, always consult with your doctor and be aware of skin and hormonal changes but generally speaking it is safe! Whether your skin is oily, sensitive, dull, or congested, it delivers instant results and a healthy glow.

When to Book:

• Skin feeling dull or tired?

• Post-travel pick-me-up?

• Pre-event glow? (2–3 days before is ideal!)

• Tackling congestion or hormonal acne?

• Ready to upgrade from basic facials?

How Often:

Start with once a month, but for stubborn concerns, every two weeks works wonders.

What to Expect:

• Does it hurt? Nope! Some say it feels slightly abrasive, but it’s completely comfortable.

• Afterwards: Immediate glow lasting up to a week, with possible mild redness or peeling.

On the right or above is a Client I performed Hydrafacial Deluxe with Blue Light LED, after one session her skin was more hydrated, glowing, her acne was less inflammed and over all her skin look so much healthier. This type of skin I would put on a medical grade skin care range, and recommend this treatment once a month with 30 mins LED.

And YES the GunkieJunkie is real! If you’ve ever had a HydraFacial, you know the oddly satisfying moment when you catch a glimpse of the gunk jar, that little container collecting everything your skin has been hiding. Blackheads, dead skin, oil, and other impurities all swirling around like a tiny, murky snow globe of grime. Gross? Absolutely. Fascinating? Without a doubt.

But why the obsession? The gunk jar is proof that the HydraFacial is doing its job. It deep cleans your pores, sweeps away debris, and leaves your skin feeling fresh and looking radiant. It’s not just about the satisfaction of seeing the results (though, let’s be honest, we all look), but knowing your skin is clear, hydrated, and healthier than ever.
